[SPOILERS] Here's All The New Items in The 1.7.0 Update (and how to get them!)

It's been a while since out last update to New Horizons, and it's been even longer since we last made a datamine post on all the new items included in the latest version. We're finally back with the long awaited New Items post, where we'll go over all the new items introduced in Version 1.7.0, as well as how to obtain them. Beware, this post contains spoilers!

First, we'll go over all the items included in the Festivale event, which is the majority of items included in the update. The begin, there are four types of standard Feathers, and then a Rainbow Feather. As with previous games, these will fall from the sky during Festivale and can be given to Pave. You'll need the four standard Feather colors to craft the Rainbow feather.

Giving Pave three of the same colored feather, or one Rainbow Feather will grant you the Festivale item set. You can customize these items to Red, Green Blue, Yellow, and even Rainbow! Once you've received all 9 furniture items, if you give Pave 3 Rainbow Feathers, you'll receive a special Festivale Float item! We've included all customization options at the end of this post

To get you in the mood of Festivale, The Able Sisters will be selling Festivale outfits. They'll also be selling Oni outfits for the Japanese Setsubun event.

Finally, there are a tonne of event items that will be available via Nook Shopping throughout the month of February. Some of these come in a variety of colors, which will change daily, so be sure to check back if you want to collect them all! Of course, there's also the Maracas item which is sent to all players once they've downloaded the update.

There was one item, however, that seemed to fly under the radar; the Mermaid Fence. This is a new DIY Recipe that can be obtained from Pascal, which allows you to craft another addition to the Mermaid Series.

Edit: There are also 4 new Reactions included in the update that we forgot to initially include, these are: Confetti, Let's Go, Feelin' It, and Viva. These can be bought at Nook's Cranny starting February 1st for 19,800 Bells.
