Animal Crossing: New Horizons Version 1.3.0 Update Coming, Adds Diving, Pascal + More

The latest patch for New Horizons has just been announced, which will release on July 3rd. The version 1.3.0 update will add a number of new features into the game, including diving from the previous title, and add a number of familiar faces and new features along with it. We've included the details below!

It seems the update will have tow major parts to it, the first covering July, and the second covering August. First, we'll see diving return, which has the player dive into the ocean and catch sea creatures. You'll need to purchase a Wetsuit before you can dive, though they'll become available at Nook's Cranny for 3,000 Bells. They may even come across a Scallop and summon everyone's favorite otter, Pascal, who'll give you an exclusive DIY recipe, such as something from the Mermaid series. The creatures you catch can also be donated to The Museum.

Additionally, Pirate Gulliver may start washing ashore, but what his new outfit will mean for his character is yet to be seen. A special Nook Inc. Wetsuit will be added to the Nook Stop Terminal, and to celebrate Tanabata, Nook's Cranny will start selling more seasonal items, such as the Bamboo Grass. Whether or not these Tanabata items will be exclusive to the Japanese version of the game is unknown.

The second part of the 1.3.0 Summer update has been kept under wraps as of now, though they've announced it'll come in August, and judging by the background, it'll include the much loved August fireworks!
