Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Turkey Day Event Guide

Turkey Day happens during the month of November in place of the traditional holiday, Thanksgiving. During Turkey Day, you'll be asked by Chef Franklin to collect ingredients to feed the residents of your island, earning special rewards for doing so. Be sure to read this guide to make sure you don't miss out on any of the exclusive Turkey Day items!

Turley Day takes place between 9am and midnight, and can be started by speaking to Franklin at the plaza. He'll first want you to help make a chowder, which can be done by bringing him three manila clams.
The second course is a pumpkin pie, where he'll ask you to bring him two specific pumpkin colors.
Third is a gratin, which varies depending on your hemisphere. Northern players will need to deliver a mussel/potato/carrot and a random mushroom, where those in the South will need to hand over a sea urchin/potato/carrot and squid.
A fish meuniere is the final meal of the day. which requires a sea bass, and a dab/olive flounder/red snapper/flour.
Giving Franklin the items for these ingredients will net you the following rewards; Turkey Day Rug, Turkey Day Wall, Turkey Day Floor, Cornucopia. However, there are still a tonne of Turkey Day DIY recipes to be collected, which can be obtained by giving Franklin secret ingredients.

The secret ingredients are somewhat hidden, and can be discovered by speaking to your Villagers who are at home cooking. In order to find the secret ingredient, you'll need to help your Villager out by giving them a food item they're after, in turn, they'll give you another food item in return - this is a good way to obtain any ingredients you're struggling to find - as well as a hint to what a secret ingredient may be. Giving Franklin a secret ingredient for each meal will give you a Turkey Day item, and after giving him all four secret ingredients, he'll gift you all 8 Turkey Day DIY Recipes, plus (as of the Version 2.0 update) the recipes for all four meals so you can cook them anytime!

The secret ingredients are as follows: Scallop (chowder), other 2 pumpkin colors (pumpkin pie), dungeness crab (gratin), barred knifejaw (meuniere). The secret ingredients can be given to Franklin at any time after you've completed the initial meal, so you'll have the entirety of the event to work on finding them.

The DIY recipes that can be obtained from the event include, Turkey Day Casserole, Turkey Day Chair, Turkey Day Decorations, Turkey Day Garden Stand, Turkey Day Hearth, Turkey Day Table, Turkey Day Table Setting, and Turkey Day Wheat Decor. You can also learn the DIY recipes for the chowder, pumpkin pie, gratin, and meuniere food items!

If for whatever reason you're unable to complete the Turkey Day event, you'll be able to buy the reward from Nook's Cranny the following day, through the end of November. The DIY collection can be bought from the cabinet for 19,800 bells, as can the four DIY recipes, and you can buy the items already crafted in the bottom left seasonal spot. The only items you won't be able to purchase are the wall papers and flooring, along with the cornucopia.

  1. Thanks for the helpful guide. However, I'm from the UK (chose Northern Hemisphere for my game), and Franklin asked for an Oyster and a Mussel instead of any kind of Mushroom for the Gratin.
