Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Happy Home Paradise Pre-Loads Going Live!

The big update to Animal Crossing: New Horizons is due out in just over a week, Nintendo have now started pre-orders for the game on the Nintendo eshop in certain regions. Here's everything you need to know!

To start, you'll need to head on over to the eshop and search for Animal Crossing. The Happy Home Paradise DLC should pop up, and you'll be able to pre-purchase it! Remember you can redeem your Gold My Nintendo Points to take a few dollars off the total price, so it might be worth making sure you've redeemed all your current games for their coins.

From here, you'll be able to pre-purchase the game and have it installed on your Nintendo Switch, but it will remain locked and unplayable until midnight on November 5th local time. Pre-loading the game will save you the hassle of having to download it on the day, though players will still have to download the Version 2.0 update.

Currently, the game is only available for pre-load in Japan, but we now know the file size for the DLC is 1GB, which is pretty hefty. We'll be sure to update this post once pre-loads in other regions go live.
