After extensively covering the previous three titles, it's finally time to cover the final title in the series, and the latest main series Animal Crossing title - Animal Crossing: New Leaf. New Leaf had a three year gap between it's announcement and release, so there's a lot to get into! The game was first showcased at E3 in 2010 where a handful of screenshots were released. Most drastic, the trees appear to use different models than they do in the final version, and most flower species have altered models. It also gave our first look at the dialogue boxes, which underwent several changes during the development cycle. The models for the houses and Public Work's Projects also seem a little more cartoon-esque than they do in the final, and PWP's also have a small pavement patch around them. As we had previously announced, a special New Nintendo 2DS XL system paired witih Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo would be coming to Europe, and we've now got word this console will be releasing in Australia on July 21st.  Nintendo Australia took to Twitter to share the news, and currently the console can be pre-ordered over at  EB Games  for $199.95. Here's what happened last night after my blog post; - Ricky sold me a fake painting (darn you) - No tarantulas I would have stayed up later (I ended up going to sleep around midnight) but I had a really bad cold so I was unable to keep myself awake that long. When I switched the game on, I could see some black tulips in the opening screen. I was amazed to know I had made hybrids after my first day - but it wasn't only a black tulip. There were also some pink cosmos and roses! I had also been told by Isabelle to meet her in the Town Hall when I had time - so I could start my developers permit! I entered the Town Hall and sat in my mayors chair, to find out I already had an approval rating of 37% - only 63% to go. I left the Town Hall and began to do my daily chores around town, water flowers, dig up fossils and pull weeds. Apparently today was Father's Day but I got nothing in the mail... I then began talking to villagers and doing jobs for them to...

Finally managed to put New Leaf down so I could write up my first blog post... After about 30 minutes of finding and selecting a nice town map, which had cherries as it's native fruit, I finally chose on a map that suited my likes (I was lucky, the first map I chose had cherries, but I soon resetted afterwards as it had a 'private' beach which could only be accessed via swimming, so I reset and chose another map which had both beaches accessible, and it too had cherries as it's fruit. Bless) I got cherries as my town fruit. Great! I hopped out of the station and was greeted by three of my villagers and Isabelle. I didn't really like the look of any of these three villagers, but Gala (the pig) started to grow on me once I realised she kinda looked like Munna from Pokemon. I hoped my other two were better...
