Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Day 22

As expected, I did have a meteor shower last night so I was able to make a few wishes and nab a few star fragments this morning. As for the morning announcements, all we got was that Ken had officially moved in, so I'd go check on him later... Most interestingly, K.K. Slider had set up site outside Resident Services, which really made me confused about what day of the week it was...

I honestly second guessed myself a couple of times, thinking it was Saturday, but I finally came to realize he probably came on Friday this week due to the busy weekend ahead - Fishing Tourney tomorrow, and Bunny Day on Sunday!

We also had two letters in our mail today, one from Dodo Airlines, and the other from Chip. Of course, Chips was our very own Coelacanth model, but the Dodo Airlines letter had a gift attached, a pair of DAL slippers!

Turnips were pretty poor - 69 in the morning and 66 in the afternoon. I didn't think I'd be getting lucky this week, and since I would be working most of the day tomorrow, I figured my best bet would be to search around for any hot prices. I hit up discord and found Daniel, who let me sell my Turnips on his Island for a nice 304 Bells each, for a total of 547,200 Bells.

As expected, Ken had a very Japenese-esq themed house. Honestly, I think this kills his chances of being a mainstay. Hornsby already has Japanese influences in his house, so I don't really want to have two similar interiors. That said, it's still early days, but I think Ken lots the war between himself and Plucky...

My look was feeling a little stale, and I had a Nook Miles+ task for changing up my style in a wardrobe, so I decided to browse what I had and put a fresh new look together. I think the colors blend together really well.

Finally, it was later in the evening, which meant K.K. would be taking song requests. Like last week, I didn't have anything in mind, so I let him chose a tune, K.K. Folk. I sat back, and enjoyed the song.

I thought that'd be the end of the day for me, but I saw a balloon present flying by. I did take note when I first saw it that it looked rather shiny compared to the other yellow ones, but I didn't take much note of it and instead shot it down... Imagine my surprise when it ended up being the DIY Recipe for the Golden Slingshot!

All in all, I'd say we had a decent day today. Nothing much happened, but it wasn't a super bland day either. I did do a Mystery Tour in the morning, and landed on Bamboo Island, but nothing special happened there. I think Axel might have been the villager there... I probably should start looking for a 10th Villager.

The Fishing Tourney is tomorrow, and like I said at the start of the week, I'll be working most of the day so I'm not quiet sure how much exactly I'll get to participate...
