Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Day 24 - Bunny Day + Important Announcement

Image
First and foremost, I apologize for the huge delay with posts. A lot has been going on in the world due to covid-19, and we've decided to make a few changes. You can read these changes in our announcement at the end of this post, but for now, it's all abut Bunny Day (albeit 2 weeks later oops). To open up the day, we had a letter from the HHA, informing us that we'd achieved Rank S! Attached was a nice little sliver wall plaque which I hung up in my house. We also had Daisy Mae visiting, but her price was a hefty 104, so I decided to opt out for this week. Finally, it was time to head over to the Plaza to check in with Zipper. He was ecstatic to see us again, and was thankful for keeping his secret. To get us started, he gifted us the DIY Recipe for the Bunny Day Arch, and then told us he'd give us a nice reward for crafting all Bunny Day recipes. By this point, I'd already crafted everything par the Arch, and I had more than enough ...

Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Day 23

Day 23, and the day of the long awaited Fishing Tourney. I'd seen that in New Horizons, they did things a little different when it came to the Fishing Tourney, so I was keen to try it out for myself. The only announcement Isabelle ha d for today was in regards to the Tourney, so I knew it was going to be a jam packed day! To start this off, if you don't care about the Fishing Tourney, this blog post wont be for you, because this entire post is just that. I didn't get around to doing much else - by the time I got home from work it was around 5:30pm, so there was only a short amount of time I had, and after the Tourney, nothing else happened. Things were looking a lot more orange today, but I think that was just because of the sunset that was happening (which was very beautiful). In the short time I had left, I scurried over to the Resident Services Plaza to chat with CJ about entering the Tourney. The aim of the Tourney was to catch as many fish as you could in 3 ...

Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Day 22

Image
As expected, I did have a meteor shower last night so I was able to make a few wishes and nab a few star fragments this morning. As for the morning announcements, all we got was that Ken had officially moved in, so I'd go check on him later... Most interestingly, K.K. Slider had set up site outside Resident Services, which really made me confused about what day of the week it was...

One villager leaves, and another villager enters - it was goodbye Olaf and hello Ken. I believe Ken is a chicken going off memory here, which means he'll have some tough competition with Nublar's existing chicken, Plucky! As for morning announcements, once again there were none, but Isabelle wished us a happy "Friday Eve" which gave me a good chuckle.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Day 19

There were no announcements today, but Isabelle gave us some good advice for today being a Tuesday "be sure to pace yourselves. Don't overdo it!". It's nice that she still finds something to say even when there isn't anything happening. Seeing her support was really cute, I hope she has more elaborate dialogue on other days of the week! Kind of makes me miss Pascal with his wise words of wisdom.

Today was yet another rainy day on Nublar, but not just your standard rain, it was a real downpour! There wasn't anything that was going on as far as I was aware, and I'd wondered what Isabelle would say if there wasn't anything to mention during the morning announcements, and instead she just went over the ongoing Bunny Day event. I wonder what she'd actually say if there really wasn't anything going on. Oh well. Now that it was the weekend, I finally had a lot of time to spent developing Nublar (especially with my new design permits in hand!)... but there was one problem... all the work I'd done over the last week with moving houses, well that spaces started looking very cluttered... But before we open that can of worms, there's a few things I want to get done first.

If you've been following me the past few days, you'd know that Hornsby would be moving in today, which made me very excited. Isabelle graced us with the news during the morning announcements, and I must say I'm very happy to have him on board, and he seems to feel the same! Also I just realized we've now been in Nublar for 2 weeks... time sure does fly.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Day 13

As expected, there wasn't an April Fools event going on today. But to an even bigger surprise, there was absolutely nothing  to acknowledge it... No letter in the mail, no gag gift, not even a message on the Bulletin Board (of which, hasn't even been used since I came to Nublar)... It's a little disheartening especially since all the effort they put into April Fools in New Leaf, here's hoping it's something they've got planned for another year at least. Fortunately, the Bunny Day event had officially started, so it's not like we started the new month on bad terms.

Isabelle gave us a warm welcome this morning, and informed me that Olaf had officially moved in. Like I mentioned yesterday, I'm not the biggest fan of him, so I hope he doesn't stay around too long. In the mail, I received yet another letter from Dodo Airlines, this time containing a DAL Eyemask. I'm really liking all this Dodo swag, I really hope there's more to come!

Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Day 9

It was a new day, which meant Nook's Cranny was open, and it was time to sell all those Scorpions. I had a full inventory, par the Net space, which totalled 39 Scorpions all up. I earned 312,000 Bells in return, which is pretty good, and considering the renovations I want to do on Nublar, that's sure going to come in handy.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Day 8

The day was finally here. Resident Services was no longer a puny little Tent, but was instead a nice spacious Building! Nook opened up the day with his announcement, introducing Isabelle as his newest recruit to help him with his duties. It'd also be the last day Tom would be holding the morning announcements, as Isabelle would be taking his place moving forward.

More New Official Character Renders Released for New Horizons!

Image
There are over 250 renders that were uploaded to Nintendo's German PR site, and they show off an assortment of characters that will be appearing in New Horizons. It gives us a lovely HD look at them, as well as their new outfits, which really show off their personality a lot more. Unfortunately, they don't really show off anything new in the like of new characters, but they do show off a few Special Characters (namely The Nooklings) in outfits we've yet to properly see, which appear to be Winter outfits for the duo. Since there are so many newly released renders, we're not going to include them all here. Instead, the guys over at GameXplain have done a nice video that shows them all off, so check that out if you want to look at all 250+ renders! It should also be worth noting that just because your favorite villager isn't listed, doesn't mean they'll be cut from the game. The renders just happen to be the first batch released, and there is ...
