Bidoof Crossing

Today was yet another rainy day on Nublar, but not just your standard rain, it was a real downpour! There wasn't anything that was going on as far as I was aware, and I'd wondered what Isabelle would say if there wasn't anything to mention during the morning announcements, and instead she just went over the ongoing Bunny Day event. I wonder what she'd actually say if there really wasn't anything going on. Oh well. Now that it was the weekend, I finally had a lot of time to spent developing Nublar (especially with my new design permits in hand!)... but there was one problem... all the work I'd done over the last week with moving houses, well that spaces started looking very cluttered... But before we open that can of worms, there's a few things I want to get done first.

Today was the day K.K. Slider finally came to Nublar. Tom Nook was rather happy to have achieved such a goal! I thought there'd be a little more time beforehand, before attending the concert, but no. The moment I started up my game, it was party time! Unfortunately I had to wake up early today, but tiredness aside, I was still able to enjoy the concert, and gathered around with the rest of Nublar's residents. He didn't stick around for long, and shortly after his performance, he was back to his home land... wherever that may be.

If you've been following me the past few days, you'd know that Hornsby would be moving in today, which made me very excited. Isabelle graced us with the news during the morning announcements, and I must say I'm very happy to have him on board, and he seems to feel the same! Also I just realized we've now been in Nublar for 2 weeks... time sure does fly.

Isabelle gave us a warm welcome this morning, and informed me that Olaf had officially moved in. Like I mentioned yesterday, I'm not the biggest fan of him, so I hope he doesn't stay around too long. In the mail, I received yet another letter from Dodo Airlines, this time containing a DAL Eyemask. I'm really liking all this Dodo swag, I really hope there's more to come!

It was a new day, which meant Nook's Cranny was open, and it was time to sell all those Scorpions. I had a full inventory, par the Net space, which totalled 39 Scorpions all up. I earned 312,000 Bells in return, which is pretty good, and considering the renovations I want to do on Nublar, that's sure going to come in handy.

The day was finally here. Resident Services was no longer a puny little Tent, but was instead a nice spacious Building! Nook opened up the day with his announcement, introducing Isabelle as his newest recruit to help him with his duties. It'd also be the last day Tom would be holding the morning announcements, as Isabelle would be taking his place moving forward.

Day 7... We've now spent an entire week in Nublar, that sure flew by. Looking back at all the progress I've made, I can't say I'm disappointed! I could also see during Nook's announcement that Mabel had finally  set up at the Resident Services Square. Mabel was of course, my first stop where I hurried over to check out what she was selling. She really dind't have anything that peaked my interest, but I want her to set up her shop on Nublar really bad, so I decided to buy one of everything.  On the Turnip front, there were yet again on the rise. 159 in the morning and 168 in the evening. Hopefully tomorrow they'll spike a little over the 200 mark and I can sell for a sweet profit. The gamble is really getting to me. The soil must be very rich in nutrients from all the rain yesterday, because a tonne of hybrid flowers started sprouting! I wasn't planning on playing much more last night, but I dabbled in a little bit, and had my second encounter with Wisp (more on that below). I even found him again tonight, so that makes three times total! As for today, Nook opened up with his announcement. I was obviously expecting him to announce Midge had moved in, but to my surprise he also said that the Resident Services would be closed tomorrow for renovations, changing from a Tent to a permanent Building. I really wasn't expecting that so soon! As such, the services offered tomorrow won't be available, such as the Nook Stop and Recycle Box, so Nook urged residents to use them whilst we still can!

Ahh, our third day in Nublar, time really is flying by! Nook opened up with his Island-Wide Broadcast again to give us a quick run down of what was happening. According to his morning speech, The Museum was still under construction, which isn't the best of news for all my critters stuck in storage, but my fingers are crossed it'll officially open up tomorrow. The Shop had opened up, however, with Timmy and Tommy taking on the responsibility of running it. Midway through the Broadcast, Nook receive an odd phone call, and again after the Broadcast ended. He never seemed to mention it again, so it still remains a mystery of who it could be...

Today was my second day on Nublar. I knew that Blather's should be arriving at some point, but other than that, I didn't really have much of an idea on what else would be happening. Thankfully, Tom Nook has me covered, holding an Island-Wide Broadcast, and going over the latest happenings. Blather's wasn't the only one joining in on the fun today, the Nublar Airport was also officially open for business!

Earlier today we touched down in Nublar and started to get settled with our newly found Island Life. Now it's a new day, and we got up a whole lot of shenanigans, and I mean a lot. When we finished up last time, we were awoken by Tom Nook, and now it's time to see what he actually wanted...

After waiting what's felt like an eternity, March 20th has finally arrived, thus, we have received our Island Getaway Package, and have started Island Life. Below is the details of our very first day on The Island!

There are over 250 renders that were uploaded to Nintendo's German PR site, and they show off an assortment of characters that will be appearing in New Horizons. It gives us a lovely HD look at them, as well as their new outfits, which really show off their personality a lot more. Unfortunately, they don't really show off anything new in the like of new characters, but they do show off a few Special Characters (namely The Nooklings) in outfits we've yet to properly see, which appear to be Winter outfits for the duo. Since there are so many newly released renders, we're not going to include them all here. Instead, the guys over at GameXplain have done a nice video that shows them all off, so check that out if you want to look at all 250+ renders! It should also be worth noting that just because your favorite villager isn't listed, doesn't mean they'll be cut from the game. If you've ever wanted some sweet Animal Crossing plush, we've got good news for you. Later this year, an assortment of Animal Crossing themed Mocchi Mocchi plush will be releasing, which we can exclusively announce at BidoofCrossing. At the present, the only Animal Crossing Mocchi Mocchi plush announced is a Mega Tom Nook plush, which is only in Australia set for an August release; though the US TOMY website mentions that Animal Crossing Mocchi Mocchi plush will be releasing soon. However, we are able to exclusively reveal the other plush that will launch in the first series, at least for Australia. We can reveal that Isabelle will be joining the likes of Tom Nook and be available as a mega plush. Additionally, Tom Nook, Isabelle, alongside the Leaf logo and an Apple, will be released as clip-ons and mini plush. After designing a few villager houses, I decided to take the bull by the horns and get to work on the facilities. First up was the concert hall! I only had two exterior options to chose from (which were minimal, but meh), that said, I did like them both, and went with the brown one, and then I chose the floor plan. With the floor plan chosen, I got to work on the interior, which was pretty hard to design, There was little room to work with, and most of the stuff I wanted to just didn't work, so I went with a design consisting of a stage and an audience. Once I was somewhat happy with the design, I let Isabelle know, and she did the necessary finishing requirements. Apparently I put the guitars the wrong way around oops With the concert hall complete, I headed back to Nook's Homes, wrote up my daily report, and got onto my next big day of work, and started my final facility for my town - the hotel.
